I’m excited to share that In Every Moment: Recounting God’s Goodness in Overseas Life is coming June 1, 2026 to Amazon.

And I want you to see the cover! It’s extra special because my son, John-Mark, painted the beautiful watercolor that instantly takes me back to my former island home—the setting for all the stories within and the truths I learned about God while there.

I wrote this book to apply the psalmist’s solution to my turmoil—remember the deeds of the Lord (Ps 77). As I recalled how God had loved and protected me during the twelve years I lived in Southeast Asia, I could believe he would continue to do so in the days to come.

Then I became a grandmother and understood the psalmist’s admonition to tell the stories of God’s good deeds to the next generation (Ps 78). I wrote this book so my granddaughter would know the God who had cared for her grandparents, her father, and her uncle.

This 12 week devotional-memoir is also for global workers—ordinary people like myself—who followed God to far flung places but now wonder if he’s worth it. Their distress and lack of obvious results make it hard to remember God’s goodness.

I tell my stories of both remarkable and routine moments to remind them that God sees them, protects, and guides them. And he will transform them as they obey and follow him.

In Every Moment will soon be published but books don’t reach many readers without some help.
